MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Junior Sydney Brown (Canton) of the Georgia College Women's Cross Country team has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for her efforts during the week ending Oct. 13. This marks the second time Brown has won the honor this season.
At this week's Bobcat Invitational, Brown led the squad once again with a personal-best 6K time of 22:47, topping her previous mark by nearly a minute. Brown led the Bobcats to a fourth-place finish in the field of 14, herself also finishing fourth overall in the field of 105 runners. The 22:47 ranks ninth in school history.
GC Women's Cross Country is back in action Saturday, Oct. 26 at the PBC Championship in Lumberton, North Carolina.
