AUGUSTA, Ga. – For the second time this year, senior Katherine Yost (Norcross) of the Georgia College Women's Cross Country team, has been named Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Yost has been nothing short of dominant this season, nabbing her fourth race win of the season and snapping her own school record in winning the home Bobcat Invitational Friday. She dusted the 151-runner field Friday, including runners from four PBC schools and Division I Georgia State University. Yost's 21:44 topped the field in the form of Emmanuel College's Makayla Hewell by 32 seconds.
Yost also took the honor Sept. 6. She now has three career weekly honors from the Peach Belt.
The Bobcats are due up next when they travel to Columbus for the PBC Championships Saturday, Oct. 21.
