MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Four Georgia College & State University student-athletes were selected to appear in the 2008 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."

Soccer's Jamie Nevin (Grovetown, Ga.), Kara Teresi (Tampa, Fla.) and Lyric Burnett (Douglasville, Ga.) join cross country's Heather Raines (Lawrenceville, Ga.) as Bobcats receiving the honor.

Thirty-two Georgia College graduating seniors have been selected to the group. "Who's Who" recognizes students who have made outstanding contributions to the quality of campus life both in and outside of the campus.

The "Who's Who" students, selected by a panel of Georgia College faculty and staff, will be recognized at the Annual Bobcat Awards in April 2010.

The GCSU Department of Athletics, winners of the 2008-09 PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 10 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Georgia College prides itself on balancing the life of the student-athlete, evidenced by the Bobcats' multiple appearances in post-season competition as well as documented academic success and community-service involvement.
