Bobcat Women’s Tennis Goes Undefeated at GC Fall Championships Friday

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Women's Tennis team went unblemished in seven matches Friday at the GC Fall Championships. The tournament this year is a round-robin style featuring players from the Bobcats and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Doubles brought in three victories. Kim Yatribi (Frejus, France) and Irina Berklich (Sandy Springs) teamed for a win over Kaden Walker and Nina Pigeassou as well as a shutout of Irene Romero Redondo and Montana Goodman.

Sophomores Jordan Bowie (Macon) and Emma Fleming (Suwanee) beat Arianna Calcatelli and Walker by a 6-1 score.

In singles action, Yatribi beat Natalie Kohoutkova in a 6-3, 1-6, 10-6 battle. Berklich topped Dani Lindsey 6-3, 6-0.

Fleming handled Calcatelli 6-0, 6-1, while Bowie took down Pigeassou in a pair of 6-2 sets.

The Bobcats get back to action tomorrow, Oct. 5 at 9 a.m.
