INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Georgia College Women's Tennis (13-8) maintains the No. 7 spot in the latest version of the NCAA Southeast Rankings this week, released Wednesday.
The Bobcats are the fourth of five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams ranked in the region. Columbus State University owns the second slot. The University of North Georgia occupies fourth, with Flagler College sixth. USC Aiken comes in behind the Bobcats in the eighth spot. The top team in the region is Wingate University of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC).
The NCAA poll is used to determine the four at-large bids for the NCAA Southeast Regional sites starting May 11. The winners of the three championship tournaments in the PBC, SAC and Conference Carolinas receive automatic bids. These bids have gone to CSU, Wingate and Emmanuel College, respectively. The remaining four spots are determined by the final version of this poll, and as of right now would go to Tusculum College in third, UNG in fourth, Queens University in fifth and Flagler in sixth.
