TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest round of Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Collegiate Tennis Rankings Wednesday, with Georgia College (9-3) jumping eight slots to the No. 41 slot.
In addition, the GC Women have their first nationally-ranked singles player of the season, as sophomore Emilia Richter (Berlin, Germany) comes in at No. 58. Richter plays in the top slot for the Bobcats, owning a 6-5 mark with four matches coming against nationally-ranked opponents.
The GC Women are fifth of the six Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list, led by No. 9 Columbus State University. The University of North Georgia is 14th, with Flagler College at No. 28 and USC Aiken No. 36. Francis Marion University comes in behind the Bobcats at No. 48.
The Bobcats have four nationally-ranked teams left on their schedule, as along with facing CSU, Flagler and USCA, Georgia College also takes on No. 11 Wingate University.
The Bobcats are back in action Thursday, March 28 at 3 p.m., traveling to Newberry College.
