TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest round of Oracle/ITA Division II Women's Collegiate Tennis Rankings Wednesday, with Georgia College (8-3) taking the No. 49 spot.

The GC Women are one of the five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on the list, led by No. 10 University of North Georgia. Columbus State University is 15th, with Flagler College at No. 28 and USC Aiken No. 38.

The Bobcats have four nationally-ranked teams left on their schedule, as along with facing CSU, Flagler and USCA, Georgia College also takes on No. 19 Wingate University.

These rankings don't factor in Tuesday's win over then-No. 17 Northeastern State University and the loss to No. 27 University of West Florida.

The Bobcats are back in action Sunday, March 24 at noon, hosting Francis Marion University.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup and the 2017 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Bobcat Athletics prides itself on balancing the life of the student-athlete, evidenced by the teams' multiple appearances in post-season competition as well as documented academic success and community-service involvement.
