COLUMBUS, Ga. – No. 15 Georgia College women's tennis (18-6) had a dominant start to its NCAA Southeast Region Tournament #2 effort, as the Bobcats blanked No. 28 GRU Augusta (15-7) 5-0 Monday at Columbus State University.

The Bobcats had a little trouble on the way to a 3-0 lead after doubles. The most convincing win came from the third slot, where Macy Polk (Powder Springs) and Hannah Serdinia (Suwanee) stayed perfect at 11-0. The Bobcat duo beat Maria Pimentel and Marie Vin 8-4.

Second doubles featured an 8-6 win for Katie Krupp (Evans) and Jena Kelly (Lawrenceville) over Aida Castany and Maria Nadal. Krupp and Kelly are now 15-8 as a pair this season.

Camille Clausse-Pujo (Bourdeaux, France) and Kristen Jones (Marietta) got all they could handle in a 9-7 win over Monica Gonzalez and Amelia Pinoargote. The Bobcat first doubles pair is now 12-12.

Cristalei Polk (Powder Springs) got the scoring started in singles, downing Pinoargote 6-2, 6-1 in the sixth slot. Sister Macy Polk then clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-3 bout in second singles over Castany.

The Bobcats advance to the Regional Final tomorrow, May 5 at 2 p.m. taking on host and No. 8 Columbus State University.
