Tennis player May Johnson nominated Bobcat Athlete of the Week

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore May Johnson (Sydney, Australia) of the Georgia College Tennis Team (8-3, PBC 5-2) was named GC Athlete of the Week for the week ending on March 20, as announced today.

Johnson had a perfect week, compiling a 3-0 record in both singles and doubles. Johnson, competing at second singles, started the week by blanking Concord's Kirby Mustard, then surrendered just three games to North Georgia's Stasa Vujosevic and four to Lander's Aurelia Ruffat. In doubles, she teamed with Michelle Lingner (Dunwoody, Ga.) in second doubles wins over North Georgia and Lander, as well as blanking the first doubles team for Concord.

The Georgia College Tennis will take on the University of Montevallo at noon Sunday, March 20 at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.
