AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its weekly Women's Soccer awards Monday, with Georgia College freshman Kate Richardson (Marietta) winning PBC Goalkeeper of the Week.
Richardson made four saves as Georgia College posted a 3-0 shutout of Francis Marion University in the team's only action last week. The freshman made three stops in the scoreless first half then another in the second period as the Bobcats put the game out of reach. The shutout was the second of Richardson's career and her first shutout victory. Richardson is currently sixth in the PBC in goals against average and tied for sixth in saves.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. hosting Albany State University.
