MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Softball program and head coach Jamie Grodecki will be hosting a one-day prospect camp for all high school students Sunday, Aug. 11 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Peeler Athletic Complex at Georgia College's West Campus.
The camp will be filled on a first come first serve basis, accepting the first 60 prospects that complete their form and payment and will cost $150 per participant. The instructional camp is open to any high school softball player seeking to improve their game and to learn about softball on a collegiate level.
The 2013 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Coach of the Year, Grodecki is in her 10th season at Georgia College, owning 299 wins in the Bobcat dugout, and 352 overall. In 2018, the Bobcats went 34-18 with a 12-8 PBC mark. Sarah Couch was named All-PBC, while both Haley Howell and Caroline Snider brought in All-Region honors. Amber Coy was named Academic All-District, and also brought in the PBC's Elite-15 award. The Bobcats led the PBC in stolen bases with 106, finishing second in RBIs (260), runs (286), hits (406) and batting average (.293).
The Bobcats reached as high as No. 20 in the nation last season. In her 10 seasons, the Bobcats have made five trips to the NCAA Tournament.
