MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Freshman Lindsey Puckett (Dunwoody) of the Georgia College Softball team (34-18) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for her efforts during the week ending May 5.
Puckett responded well to her first postseason action, going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament Quarterfinal loss to Flagler College Friday. She drove in Amber Coy (Warner Robins) with a double in the first inning to give GC a 2-0 lead.
Season has come to a close for Bobcat Softball, a year in which they went 34-18, reaching as high as No. 20 in the nation. The Bobcats enjoyed a 14-game win streak, putting Sarah Couch on the All-PBC Team and Coy bringing in her first Elite-15 Award. A league-best eight Bobcats were named to the PBC All-Academic Team
