Georgia College Softball Receives Votes in NFCA National Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The most recent National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll was released Wednesday, April 3 and the Georgia College softball team (30-12, 12-4 PBC) finished just outside of the top-25, receiving 11 votes.  

While the poll came out the day after the Bobcats swept No. 19 Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. Those games were not factored into the voting. The Bobcats' record against top-25 teams now stands at 6-3 on the season, with wins against No. 12 Flagler College and No. 6 University of North Georgia as well.

The 30 wins for the Bobcats during the 2013 season are the most since the 2008-09 school year when the team won 32 and reached the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament.

The Bobcats return to action Wednesday, April 10 at 5 p.m. when they welcome USC Aiken (20-16-1, 7-7 PBC) to the Peeler Complex.
