GC Men's Cross Country Prepares for NCAA Region Meet This Week

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. –  The Georgia College Men's Cross Country team is preparing for their biggest meet of the season, the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional, set to be held this Saturday, Nov. 9 at Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina.

Most recently, the Bobcats finished fifth in the PBC Championship Oct. 26.

Last year, the Georgia College Men's Cross Country team took eighth place at the NCAA Region meet with returning runners Shawn Olmstead (Buford), Quillian Holland (Dublin), and Lance Underwood (Blairsville) leading the way for the Bobcats.

All three will compete in the upcoming meet, joined by Jack Rhodes (Roswell), Benjamin Patterson (Marietta), Thomas Hall (Fayetteville), and Matt Rogel (Sautron, France).

Georgia College will look for strong performances from Holland and Olmstead, both key runners this season for the Bobcats, with both finishing in the top-10 in last month’s Bobcat Invitational.

Saturday's NCAA Regional meet is slated to get underway at 10:15 a.m. The race will take place at the Wingate University Cross Country Facility.
