MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The list of participating schools has been released for the annual Bobcat Invitational race set to take place Oct. 12 at 8:30 a.m.
There will be top-level competition in both the men's and women's races this weekend with six Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams competing in addition to Georgia College, including the University of North Georgia, Young Harris College, Georgia Southwestern State University, Lander University, Columbus State University and Clayton State University.
The men’s side will feature a top-10 southeast program in Columbus State, ranked 10th in the most recent U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll. The women’s side brings two regionally ranked squads in 10th-ranked Columbus State and fourth-ranked North Georgia.
The race will also feature four non-conference teams from throughout the state of Georgia, including the University of West Georgia, Wesleyan College, Middle Georgia State University, and Clark Atlanta University.
The races will take place at the Council Farm Course in Milledgeville with the men's race beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the women's race taking place at 9:30 a.m. The address for the course is 2048 Council McCranie Road.
