NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Powered by a 15th place finish from freshman Collin Silliman (Douglasville, Georgia) the Georgia College Men's Cross Country team took ninth place Saturday at the Trevecca Nazarene D2 Showcase.

Silliman led the Bobcat charge for the third-straight race, taking 15th place by posting a 27:26 in dramatic fashion, topping the next runner by seven seconds.

The pack running that had been the Bobcat men's team forte up to this point eluded Georgia College, as the next finisher came in 44th in the form of freshman Shawn Olmstead (Buford, Georgia). The rookie crossed the line in 28:33. Third on the squad and 56th overall was junior Jim Galvin (Tucker, Georgia) in 28:56. The Bobcats totaled 222 points for ninth, topped by South Atlantic Conference (SAC) foe Lincoln Memorial University. Georgia College finished ahead of three squads in the 12-team race. Northeast-10 (NE-10) representative Bentley University won the team title, edging Rogers State University of the Heartland Conference. RSU's Baylor Harvey won individual honors in 25:38.
