SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Georgia College Men's Cross Country team had to wait an extra day than originally planned due to tropical storms along the coast, but still started the season on the right foot Saturday morning, topping Armstrong State University in a dual race on the road. The Bobcats dominated, topping the Pirates 22-33.
Sophomore Austin Campbell (Cumming) ran a 17:27, good for fourth overall, while fellow sophomore Joshua Warren (Fayetteville) added a sixth-place finish at 17:43. Rounding out the scoring five for the Bobcats was rookie Andrew Cowick (Bogart) in seventh at 18:19.
Armstrong's Henning Schein won the race at 16:27.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Sept. 10 hosting the Bobcat Invitational on the Council Farm Course.
