Bobcat Runner Ryden Tabbed Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) have released the CoSIDA Academic All-District honorees for men's cross country and track and field, with Georgia College senior James Ryden (Atlanta, Georgia) earning a spot on the District 3 list for Division II.

The senior makes his first appearance on the Academic All-District list, as Ryden boasts a 3.79 GPA in psychology. He ran in 25 races over his four-year career at Georgia College. He owns the third-best 8K time in school history, and the fourth-best 10K time.

Ryden is the first Capital One Academic All-District honoree in Georgia College Men's Cross Country history.

PBC member schools made up four of the 10-member team, selected by the members of CoSIDA. First-team Academic All-District ® honorees, like Ryden, advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
