GC Men’s Cross Country Gears Up for Season Opener

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – With key additions at the coaching positions and seven new members added to the Georgia College men's cross country roster, the Bobcat men eagerly await the start of the 2015 season with high expectations.

Acquiring an excellent recruiting class, which landed seven freshmen on the team, first year head coach Steven Cary is building a strong base for the future of the program. With many of the freshmen being labeled among the top high school runners in the state of Georgia, the Bobcats are on track for another competitive season.
Amongst the youth, four returning seniors in Paul McNeil (Dunwoody), James Ryden (Atlanta), Trevor Turner (Snellville) and Michael Warrick (Marietta) will lead the Bobcat team as they begin a very competitive three-meet schedule, which opens with the annual Bobcat Classic on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m.

Last year's Bobcat Classic saw three top-10 finishes for Georgia College as McNeil placed fourth, Warrick placed seventh, and Ryden placed 10th all out of 61 participants.

With a mixture of youth and experience, the Bobcat men are excited and hopeful for a strong season.
