Bobcat Men’s Basketball Releases 2019-20 Schedule

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Men's Basketball program and head coach Mark Gainous have released the 2019-20 schedule, with 11 chances to catch the Bobcats at home. Jordan Thomas (Conyers), who led the team with 19.2 points per game last year, will return to lead a dynamic, youthful Bobcat squad which features nine freshmen.

The season starts with two exhibition contests, first on the road with Georgia Tech Sunday, Oct. 20, before facing off with Middle Georgia State University at home Oct. 23.

Georgia College begins the regular season with back-to-back weekend tournaments, including the Conference Challenge in Due West, South Carolina Nov. 8-9 and the Saint Leo Classic in Saint Leo, Florida Nov. 16-17.

Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play commences Dec. 15 at UNC Pembroke with the home regular season opener slated for Thursday, Dec. 19 as the Bobcats welcome conference foe Flagler College to the Centennial Center.

The month of January brings two marquee home battles, including a matchup with #17 nationally-ranked USC Aiken on Jan. 4 while defending PBC champion #16 Augusta University visits Milledgeville on Jan. 25.

Homecoming is set for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5:30 p.m. against rival University of North Georgia, and Senior Day will be Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m. against Lander University.

The Bobcats went 17-12 last season, including a stellar 11-2 record at home, falling in the Quarterfinals of the PBC Tournament.
