AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) held its year-end awards banquet for basketball Friday, with two student-athletes from Georgia College (17-12) bringing in All-PBC honors.
The Bobcats put one on the All-PBC Second Team and one on the third. The second-team honoree was sophomore guard Jordan Thomas (Conyers). The third-team choice was senior forward Isaac Thomas (Trion). This is the first all-conference honor for both players
Jordan Thomas is a pure scorer. The 2017-18 PBC Freshman of the Year, he averaged 19.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest this season. The points average ranks second in the league this year.
Himself a former PBC Freshman of the Year in the 2015-16, Isaac Thomas was a boxscore-filler for his entire career at GC, this season averaging 14.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest. He ranks fourth in rebounds and sixth in field goal shooting in the PBC.
The two honorees gives Georgia College 33 all-time. The last time the Bobcats put two on in the same season was 2009-10, when Graham Martin took a spot on the first team and Ty Rowland was on the third team
