Bobcat Golf in Fourteenth After Two Rounds of Matlock Intercollegiate Classic
LAKELAND, Fla. – Georgia College Golf finished in 14th after the second round at the Matlock Intercollegiate Classic hosted by Florida Southern College at the 7,065 yard Lone Palm Golf Club.
The Bobcat golfers posted rounds of 312 and 311, 47 over par at the end of round two.
Senior David Sullivan (Woodstock, Ga.) is the current team leader, firing 79 and 76 for plus-11 in the tournament so far. He is tied with Florida Southern's Michael VanDerLaan for 53rd of the 75 tournament participants.
Following Sullivan on the Georgia College team is junior Conner Albright (Macon, Ga.), posting 79 and 77 in today's action. He is 12-over for the tournament thus far and is tied for 55th with five other golfers. Harrison Stewart (Roswell, Ga.) finished in third place on the team, recording rounds of 77 and 80 for 13-over par.
Saint Leo University is the current tournament leader with rounds of 283 and 294, finishing just plus-one for the contest so far.
The Bobcats look to pull ahead in the rankings when the tournament will conclude with one final round Tuesday, Feb. 9.
