GC Golf Ninth after Day One of Jennison Memorial

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Georgia College golf squad is positioned ninth of 15 teams after two rounds Monday at the Jay Jennison Memorial, hosted by No. 12 Flagler College.

The Bobcats posted rounds of 298 and 292 to finish plus-14 for the tournament thus far.

Tops on the team and 12th overall in the 81-player field is senior David Sullivan (Woodstock, Georgia), owning rounds of 72 and 71 for one-under par. He is seven strokes off the lead, set by Flagler's Michael Boss.

Sophomore Thomas Hodges (Monroe, Georgia) is second on the team in 18th, firing a 73 and 72. He stands one-over for the tournament. Sophomore Thomas Knight (Eastman, Georgia) is five-over in 40th place, posting a 75 and 74 in today's action.

Junior Harrison Stewart (Roswell, Georgia) is at plus nine with rounds of 78 and 75, while classmate Harry Lambert (Suwanee, Georgia) rounds out the scoring with a 78 and 77 for 11-over.

No. 14 University of West Florida owns the team lead at 13-under, well ahead of second place Rollins College at five-under.

The third and final round gets underway Tuesday, Sept. 22.
