Bobcat Golf Fourth After Day One of Kiawah Invite

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Georgia College golf squad teed off the 2015-16 season in impressive fashion Monday, as the Bobcats are positioned fourth among the 18-team field at the Kiawah Island Invitational.

The Bobcats are at two-over par, carding a 290 in round one. They are just a single stroke behind third place Tusculum College and six off the lead set by USC Aiken.

Harrison Stewart (Roswell, Georgia) and Harry Lambert (Suwanee, Georgia) are tops on the team and fifth overall in the 90-golfer field, each posting a two-under 70.

At one-over with a 73 is Thomas Hodges (Monroe, Georgia) in 19th place. Senior David Sullivan (Woodstock, Georgia) shot a 77, good for 53rd place. Thomas Knight (Eastman, Georgia) rounded out the scores for Georgia College in 73rd at 79.

The second and final round tees off tomorrow, Sept. 15. The Bobcats are looking to improve on their ninth place finish from a year ago.
