BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Former Georgia College Baseball All-American Michael Antonini (2007) has wrapped up another outstanding professional season with the Somerset Patriots of the independent Atlantic League.
The lefty served as the closer for the Patriots, racking up 29 saves to go with a 2-4 record and 2.75 ERA. Antonini fanned 36 batters in his 36 innings. Owning just a 1.17 WHIP. The Patriots went 69-69 on the season. His 29 saves were tops in the league, 12 more than the next closest pitcher. He was named to the 2019 Atlantic League All-Star Team.
The Aston, Pennsylvania native was an All-American in for the Bobcats 2006 and in his two seasons after transferring from Glouster County College, went 18-7 with a 3.42 ERA. Antonini also fanned 153 in his 192 innings over that two-year span as the Bobcat ace.
