AUGUSTA, Ga. – The freshman phenom Cam Hill (Marietta) was at it again this week, as Georgia College Baseball's rookie centerfielder brought in his sixth Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Freshman of the Week award.
Hill has won six weekly honors including five straight. He hit .364 in a three-game series against Columbus State University with his first career home run and five RBIs. He went 2-for-3 in the opener with a triple and an RBI, homered in game two with three RBIs and drove in another in the finale. He also scored twice and had two stolen bases. Hill slugged .818 on the week with a .462 on-base percentage. He is currently seventh in the PBC in batting average and 10th in runs scored.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m., playing host to No. 2 North Greenville University to wrap up the regular season.
