Bobcat Baseball Takes No. 6-seed to NCAA Southeast Regional

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced the 56-member field of the 2017 NCAA Tournament, with Georgia College Baseball (35-13) taking the No. 6-seed in the NCAA Southeast Region Tournament, to be held in Mount Olive, North Carolina.

The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament Champion GC Bobcats take the No. 6-seed, and will face No. 3-seed USC Aiken (39-13). The seven-team regional will be hosted by No. 1 University of Mount Olive, and the host team will receive a first-round bye.

Other first-round matchups in the regional include No. 2-seed University of North Georgia facing No. 7-seed Lincoln Memorial University and No. 4-seed Catawba College battling No. 5-seed UNC Pembroke.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
