INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA released the latest round of Division II Baseball Region Rankings Wednesday, with Georgia College (33-13, 16-8 PBC) positioned No. 9 in the Southeast Region.

The Bobcats are ninth in the region behind three Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools. The University of North Georgia is ranked second, followed by USC Aiken in third and UNC Pembroke in fifth. The University of Mount Olive is in the top slot, representing the Conference Carolinas (CC). Catawba College is the top South Atlantic Conference (SAC) representative in fourth overall. CC schools North Greenville University and Belmont Abbey College take are No. 6 and No. 7, while the SAC's Lincoln Memorial University rounds out the ranking.

This version of the poll came prior to Georgia College's two wins in the PBC Tournament thus far.

The final version of this poll is used to determine the four at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament, beginning May 18. The region has three automatic bids, given to the tournament champions for the PBC, SAC and CC, and the five remaining slots are filled by the final version of this poll. LMU earns the automatic bid from the SAC, while UMO took the tournament title in the CC.
