MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Donning number 55, Georgia College Baseball consensus All-American Dylan Cook (2015-16) has been assigned to the AZL Dodgers in the Arizona Rookie League.
Cook has already seen time in a pair of games, playing first base. He is 2-for-8 for a .250 average, but both hits have gone for doubles.
The conglomerate sports web site HERO Sports has also added Cook to its Division II Baseball All-America Team at second base. HERO Sports simply pulled members from the three other organizations that honor All-America teams: the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA). Cook was a shoo-in, landing on the first team for all three organizations.
The fourth Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Player of the Year in school history, Cook finished the season with a .414 batting average, 14 home runs and 64 RBIs. The former gold glover added 63 runs scored and 23 steals as well.
