OTTAWA, Ontario – Former Georgia College Baseball standout Daniel Bick (2011-14), fresh off a season where his play earned him a spot on the Indy League Top-10 Prospects, has rejoined the Ottawa Champions of the CanAm League.

Playing nearly every day at shortstop, Bick has started slow, tallying seven hits over his first 12 games. He's made the most of those seven safeties, with three going for extra bases, scoring two runs and driving in four.

During his four-year stint as a Bobcat, Bick dominated as a shortstop and cleanup hitter. His senior year alone, Bick started all 52 games and finished with a .358 batting average. Bick continued to impress at bat with a .459 slugging percentage and .488 on-base average. Bick, a former All-Southeast Region Second Team shortstop for Georgia College, was an All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) First Team choice in 2013 as well. The Alpharetta, Georgia native helped the lead the Bobcats to their first PBC Tournament Title that season.

After his senior season, Bick moved up to Ottawa, Canada to pursue a career in the big leagues through an independent team. The Champions signed him on as a rookie shortstop where he batted .259 with 29 runs and 55 hits. During the last month of the season, Bick hit .314, improving on a slower start to his first season. His success at bat paired with his talent in between second and third earned him a roster spot again this year.
