MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Cross Country program and Interim Head Coach Matt Sutton welcomes back former Bobcat runner Brittney Schwind as a Volunteer Assistant Coach.
“We are ecstatic to have Brittney back in our program, now as a Coach,” said Sutton. “Brittney stands out because she understands the impact that a quality student athlete experience can have on people’s lives. She has shown a long term commitment to serving and leading others in Georgia College Athletics as well as in her career. I look forward to the perspective she will provide our teams with in this role. The sky is the limit when we have people like her in leadership positions.”
Schwind was a four-year runner for the Bobcats, finishing in 2017. The 2017 GC representative to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) All-Sportsmanship Team, Schwind made three appearances on the PBC All-Academic Team. She was the winner of the 2015 Bobcat Classic, finishing the 5K in 22:48 on GC’s West Campus Cross Country Course.
The Bobcats will hit the road for their second meet of the 2019 season at the Mountain Dew Invitational, in Gainesville, Florida, Sept.14.
