MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Cross Country program and interim head coach Matt Sutton announced an adjustment to opening weekend, as the Bobcats will now run in the VSU Border Clash Friday, Sept. 6.
Originally set to run that night at UNC Pembroke, the Bobcats have made the move to a familiar race, hosted by Valdosta State University. Last season, the Bobcat Women took third and the GC Men nabbed fourth place in the VSU Border Clash.
The men will run a 7.5K and the women a 5K Sept. 6, with the first race getting underway at 6 p.m. in Freedom Park.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner Cup and the 2017 PBC Sportsmanship Institution of the Year, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
