>>>FULL SCHEDULE

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College cross country program and head coach Steven Cary have released the 2015 Bobcat Cross Country schedule, complete with two home events.

The season gets started at home with the Bobcat Classic Friday, Sept. 4 at 6:15 p.m. on GC's West Campus Cross Country Course.

The following week, the Bobcats make the trip to Greenville, South Carolina to run in the Furman Invitational, hosted by Division I Furman University.

Sept. 26 features the longest trip of the season for Bobcat Cross Country, heading north to Division I University of Minnesota for the Roy Griak Invitational.

Saturday, Oct. 10 is the second home meet of the year, as the Bobcats host the D2 Georgia Collegiate Championships at the Council Farm Course, just the second race the newly-minted home course has hosted.

This year’s postseason begins Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championship, hosted by the University of North Georgia. The Bobcat men took seventh last season, while the women were one slot behind in eighth.

The NCAA Southeast Regional Championship is Nov. 7 in Wingate, North Carolina. The Bobcat men took 10th at this race in 2014, while the women were 15th.

The Bobcats are fresh off a great 2014 campaign. The men had three third-place finishes during the regular season, while the women posted a win in the Bobcat Invitational to start the season. Returning for the women is the school record holder in the 6K in rising senior Rachel Pasko (Jefferson). The men's lineup boasts a strong lineup as well, buoyed by 2014 All-PBC honoree Paul McNeil (Dunwoody), who set the school’s 8K record at the PBC Championships last season.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. As a Division II program, Bobcat Athletics prides itself on balancing the life of the student-athlete, evidenced by the teams' multiple appearances in post-season competition as well as documented academic success and community-service involvement.
