INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced the field for the 2015 Division II Championship Tournament, with both the Georgia College men’s and women’s tennis teams qualifying as at-large bids in the Southeast Region.
The GC men take a No. 3-seed and will travel to Greenwood, South Carolina to take on the University of Mount Olive in round one May 3. The Bobcat men are currently No. 20 in the nation, and own a 13-8 record on the year. The winner of that matchup will take on the winner of host Lander University and Young Harris College. The Bobcat men are playing in their ninth-straight NCAA Tournament.
The Bobcat women also take a No. 3-seed and will travel to Columbus, Georgia to take on GRU Augusta in round one May 3. Georgia College’s women’s squad is No. 15 in the country, and put together an impressive 17-6 overall record. The winner of this matchup takes on the winner of host Columbus State University and Queens University (N.C.). The GC women are playing in their 21st straight NCAA Tournament.
