MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Katherine Yost (Norcross) of the Georgia College Cross Country team has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for her efforts during the week ending Oct. 8. This marks the third time this season the Bobcat runner has picked up this honor.
Yost has been nothing short of dominant this season, nabbing her fourth race win of the season and snapping her own school record in winning the home Bobcat Invitational Friday. She dusted the 151-runner field Friday, including runners from four PBC schools and Division I Georgia State University. Yost's 21:44 topped the field in the form of Emmanuel College's Makayla Hewell by 32 seconds.
The Bobcats are back in action when they travel to Columbus for the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships Saturday, Oct. 21.
