AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released the first round of weekly cross country honors of the new season Wednesday, with Georgia College senior Katherine Yost (Norcross) taking home the PBC Women's Runner of the Week.

Yost set a school record as she won the Valdosta State Border Clash on Friday. The senior covered the 5K course in 18:09, smashing her own school record by 48 seconds and finishing 40 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor. The event featured eight teams, four from the Peach Belt, and 82 total runners. Georgia College finished as the runner up at the event and were the top-finishing PBC team. Yost bested a school record she set at the 2016 Trevecca D2 Showcase.

The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Sept. 9 as the team will split squads to the Joe I. Vigil open at Adams State University and the Jaguar Invitational at Augusta University.
