MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Volleyball squad (19-5, 8-3 PBC) added to an already impressive 2017 resume with a four-set victory over Peach Belt Conference (PBC) leader USC Aiken (22-4, 8-2 PBC) Saturday afternoon in the Centennial Center.

The Bobcats started off with a pair of tight set victories, 25-22 and 26-24 to go up 2-0. The Pacers battled back to take one in the third 25-20, but Georgia College dominated the fourth 25-6 to close it out. The Bobcats finished that final set on an 8-1 run.

"This was a huge win for this team," said head coach Gretchen Krumdieck. "We have been looking forward to this match and we executed the game plan perfectly. Kayla [Brockway] was able to spread the offense and had a lot of options."

Sophomore Emily Crowell (Horseheads, New York) continued her tear as of late with 18 kills, only tallying four errors for a .438 hitting percentage. Crowell has had double-digit kills in four of her last five matches. Joining her in double-digits was freshman Libby Bochniak (Marietta) with 11. Bochniak had just one error, as the Bobcats had just 19 for the match in total.

Junior Kayla Brockway (Jacksonville, Florida) ran a great offense, finishing with 44 assists and 19 digs for a double-double. The Bobcats passed well from the entire roster, as five Georgia College players tallied double-digit digs, led by senior Chandler Ewaldsen (Savannah) with 22. Brockway and junior Ebony Powers (Jacksonville, Florida) added 19 each, with Bochniak tallying 17 for her fifth double-double this season. Freshman Jordyn Moellering (Cumming) pulled up 11 as well. The Bobcats were busy up front as well with nine team blocks, freshman Emma Boughner (Bogart) leading the way at six.

The six points surrendered in the final set were the fewest by the Bobcats since GC Volleyball's very first set, a 25-4 effort over Fort Valley State University in the inaugural Bobcat Volleyball match in 2013.

The Bobcats are now 11-1 at home, including wins in eight straight in the Centennial Center. The victory marks the first in program history over seven-time PBC Champion USC Aiken, as the Bobcats have now beaten every conference opponent.

The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m., traveling to Albany State University.
