The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2012-13 academic year.

    Johnson Earns All-Academic Honors, Lingner and Marevic Honorable Mentions AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) recently announced the 2013 Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team with three members from Georgia College (16-12) earning honors. Senior May Johnson (Sydney, Australia) was awarded a spot on the team while fellow senior Michelle Lingner (Dunwoody, Ga.) and junior Ivana Marevic (Rottweil, Germany) earned honorable mentions.

    Bobcat Women Drop Regional Final to Armstrong, 6-0 SAVANNAH, Ga. – The No. 4-seed Georgia College women’s tennis team (16-12) finished off their 19th consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament Monday morning with a 6-0 loss to the No. 1-seed Armstrong. (26-1). The last time a Georgia College women’s tennis team did not make the NCAA Regional Tournament senior May Johnson (Sydney, Australia) was only five years old.

    No. 5-Seed GC Women’s Tennis Battles No. 1-Seed Armstrong, Falls 5-0 FLORENCE, S.C. – Less than 24-hours after finishing their six-hour marathon win in the quarterfinals, the No. 5-seed Georgia College women’s tennis team (15-9) was back in action at the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament. The Bobcats drew the No. 1-seed Armstrong Pirates (22-1) in the semifinals. The Bobcats battled the Pirates throughout the afternoon, but were felled 5-0.

    No. 5-Seed Bobcats Down No. 4-Seed Clayton State in Marathon Match, 5-4 SUMTER, S.C. – Over six hours after the match began, senior Michelle Lingner (Dunwoody, Ga.) clinched the victory for the Georgia College women’s tennis team (15-9) with a 7-6, 2-6, 6-1 victory over Raluca Pavel in the No. 5 singles slot. The No. 5-seed Bobcats defeated No. 4-seed Clayton State University (8-10) after losing at Morrow, Ga. earlier in the season.
