MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – In a rematch of last year's Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Quarterfinal, the Georgia College Women's Basketball team (10-14, 8-10 PBC) lost to Flagler College (17-7, 13-5 PBC) 68-45 Monday night at the Centennial Center.

The Bobcats started off strong, leading 12-6 at the end of the first quarter. Sophomore Keyonna Wesley (Pearson) led the charge with seven of the 12 points. The Bobcat defense held Flagler to just three field goals in the quarter.

The Saints turned it around with a 26-12 second frame, pushing it further out of reach after the halftime break after a 21-5 third quarter.

Wesley finished with a team-high 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting, pulling in four rebounds. She was flanked by a career-high 11 points from classmate Kenyatta Storms (Alpharetta) with five boards.

The Bobcats were out-rebounded 51-27 and lost bench points 27-8. Georgia College knocked down nine threes however, their second-best output of the season.

The loss puts the Bobcats at 8-10 in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play, positioned seventh in the league standings. With four games left in conference play, the Bobcats could finish as high as fifth or as low as 12th. The top eight teams advance to the PBC Tournament in March.
