MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore Haley Howell (Rochelle) of the Georgia College Softball team (31-10, 9-1 PBC) has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for her efforts during the week ending April 7.
The nation's RBI leader was at it again this week, driving in six more over four games while hitting 8-for-14 (.571). Howell smacked a pair of doubles and a home run, slugging .929 for the week. In the 3-0 victory against Emmanuel College at home, she went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a home run. She also powered the first of two wins at Lander University with two more RBIs as part of a 2-for-4 game. She tallied multi-hit efforts in each of the four contests this week.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 12 at 4 p.m. for Senior Day against Young Harris College.
