MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Softball program and head coach Jamie Grodecki have announced the addition of Brittany Gonzales to the staff as pitching coach.
Gonzales comes to Bobcat Nation from Division III Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She spent two seasons with the Majors.
"I am excited to be bringing in coach Gonzales," said Grodecki. "She will make an impact on our girls immediately. She is a hard worker, loves the game of softball and most importantly to me she knows her stuff when it comes to pitching. She will work with pitchers and catchers as well as all day to day practice, recruiting and travel planning. She brings successful DII playing experience with her as well as coaching experience at the DIII level. Her background is a good fit for our program here at Georgia College and we are happy to add her to the Bobcat family."
In the 2018 season, the Millsaps pitching staff posted a 1.95 ERA, finishing the regular-season No. 16 in all of Division III in the statistic.
Gonzales spent her collegiate career at Division II Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. A two-time conference pitcher of the week, she earned a spot on the 2012 Gulf South Conference (GSC) All-Tournament Team.
Bobcat Softball will get underway in the spring semester.
