AUSTIN, Texas – It only seems fitting that Georgia College Softball's twin sisters Hannah Coursey (Sugar Hill, Georgia) and Holland Coursey (Sugar Hill, Georgia) would end their softball playing careers appearing on the same honors list, as both Bobcats have been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Team, announced Wednesday.

Hannah Coursey owns a 4.00 GPA in accounting and takes the spot for designated player on the first team, while Holland Coursey has a 3.94 GPA in accounting as an outfielder on the second team. The Coursey sisters were the only two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) student-athletes on the list.

This marks the second Academic All-America trophy in Hannah Coursey's career, as she was on the third team at second base in 2017. She finished the 2018 season with a .325 average, three home runs, 23 RBIs and 18 runs scored. She joins Mandy Chandler as the only two-time Academic All-Americans in program history.

Holland Coursey earned All-Region and All-Conference honors in the field this season, finishing at .401 with two home runs, 35 RBIs and 36 runs.

The pair gives GC Softball six academic All-America trophies in school history, as the Coursey sisters join Chandler and Marisa Boyette. Four of the six honors have come during head coach Jamie Grodecki's tenure.
