#19 Georgia College Men’s Tennis Cruises Past Hurricanes, 7-0

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 19 Bobcat Men's Tennis team (10-4, 4-2 PBC) extended their home record to 8-1 with a dominant performance over Georgia Southwestern State University (4-11, 0-4 PBC) Saturday at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility. 

A quick one, two, three finish set the tone after doubles play, as the Bobcats swept each of the three slots.

The No. 7 pairing of Robin Möller (Hamburg, Germany) and Matt Rogel (Sautron, France) shutout Alex Canovas Ferrando and Nacho Garcia de Sola, 6-0. In the second slot, the No. 66 duo of Jannik Kumbier (Neumünster, Germany) and Noah Wallace (Grayson) handled Beau Millwood and Kenneth Limyadi, 6-2. Enzo Kohn (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Nathan Connelly (McDonough) rounded out doubles action with a 6-3 victory over Matthew Limyadi and Kyle Eason.

In singles action, No. 6 Möller continued his dominant season in the first slot, quickly erasing Canovas 6-0, 6-1. In second singles, Rogel made light work of Garcia, claiming the 6-1, 6-2 victory.  Kumbier also boosted his match win streak with a 6-1, 6-2 performance against K. Limyadi to claim the match-clinching fourth point.

Wallace, Connelly, and Kohn also picked up singles wins as well. Wallace outlasted Millwood 7-5, 6-2, Connelly beat Eason 6-2, 6-3, and Kohn overmatched M. Limyardi 6-3, 6-2 to round out the day. With the match win, Connelly picked up his first career win in Peach Belt Conference play.   

The Bobcat men return to action Sunday at 1 p.m. for Sea of Green and Senior Day, the final home contest of the season. Each of the senior's singles matches will be broadcasted live on the Bobcat Broadcast Network's YouTube channel. Georgia College will take on No. 3 Columbus State University.
