MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The No. 28 Georgia College Men's Tennis team and head coach Steve Barsby released the Spring 2018 schedule for the Bobcats Monday, with 11 home matches featured.
The season starts at home against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) squad Morehouse College Friday, Feb. 2 at noon. The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) opener comes Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. against Augusta University.
Senior Day is slotted for Saturday, April 14 when the Bobcats host No. 30 USC Aiken.
GC Men's Tennis has another one of their perennially-tough schedules, chock full of nationally-ranked opponents, including defending National Champion University of West Florida. The Bobcat schedule has 11 nationally-ranked squads, including five in the top-10.
The Peach Belt Tournament will once again be in Florence, South Carolina from April 19-22.
The Bobcats went 11-12 with a 3-7 PBC record in 2017, making an appearance in the NCAA Regional for the 11th straight season. Returning is the team's most successful singles player last year in Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostella, Spain) who went 17-5.
