  • Bobcat Tennis Sweeps PBC Sportsmanship Awards

    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Georgia College Tennis teams recently wrapped up another impressive season, and will have another pair of plaques for the trophy case. The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) has awarded the Bobcat Women’s and Men’s Tennis teams with the PBC Team Sportsmanship Awards for their respective sports.
  • School-Record 136 Bobcat Student-Athletes Named to PBC Presidential Honor Roll

    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with a school-record 136 Georgia College student-athletes making the list, nine more than the previous mark, set in 2013-14. The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2015-16 academic year.
  • Bobcat Women’s Tennis Takes Team GPA Award; Department Records All-Time High

    MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Department of Athletics posted a 3.28 GPA for the 2015-16 academic year. The GC Women’s Tennis team took team GPA honors in the Bobcat Athletic Department, ending a three-year run at the top for Bobcat Women’s Cross Country. The GC Women’s Tennis team posted an amazing 3.65 GPA combined for the two semesters, leading the 11 Bobcat varsity sports teams.

    SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently released its All-America Teams, with Georgia College’s Yannick Hass (Troisdorf, Germany) and Christian Graf (Lohmar, Germany) earning a spot in doubles, and Hass taking a singles slot as well.

    TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its Division II regional and national award winners, with Georgia College Men’s Tennis’ Jannik Kumbier (Neumünster, Germany) named Southeast Region Most Improved Player.

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – No. 11 Georgia College Men’s Tennis (15-9) found itself locked in a battle with No. 22 University of North Georgia (18-7) in the NCAA Southeast Region #1 semifinals, but a rally in singles play came up short as the Bobcats ended their season in a 5-3 loss to the Nighthawks Sunday.

J. – The Georgia College men’s tennis team (11-6, 3-4 PBC) stays in the top-15 of 50 Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) nationally ranked teams after six straight wins in the middle of March. The Bobcats dropped three spots from No. 10 to No. 13 despite topping four nationally ranked teams during the win streak.

The contest came down to the wire, with the Bobcat men losing the final point in the last match.
