  • Georgia College Athletics Puts 96 on PBC Presidential Honor Roll

    MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with 96 Georgia College student-athletes making the list. The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2012-13 academic year.

    SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently released updated national rankings, with Georgia College men’s tennis (19-7) placing No. 11 in the nation. The Bobcats recently finished their season as the runner-up to No. 2 Armstrong in the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament.

  • GC Men’s Tennis Finishes Season at NCAA Regionals, Loses to Armstrong 6-0

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s tennis team (19-7) finished off the season at the finals of the NCAA Southeast Regional Monday. The match finished in unusual fashion, with simultaneous match points on court one and three, giving Armstrong (24-1) a rare 6-0 victory.
  • Andreas and Wadstein Race to Finish Off Patriots, No. 4-Seed Bobcats Win 5-2

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – With the Georgia College men’s tennis team (19-6) holding a 4-2 lead over Francis Marion University, senior No. 48 Johan Wadstein (Helsingborg, Sweden) and junior Andreas Ainalides (Heusenstamm, Germany) both stood within points of securing a singles victory. Ainalides would beat Wadstein to the punch, downing Gavin Davison by a final score of 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. Wadstein finished two points away from defeating No. 15 Alex Caspari for the second time this season.
  • GC Men’s Tennis Earns No. 4-Seed at NCAA Regional, Start Sunday

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s tennis team (18-6) earned a NCAA Regional bid for the seventh year in a row, being given the No. 4-seed in the Southeast Region. The Bobcats will start the regional Sunday, April 28 against the No. 5-seed Francis Marion University (15-8) who the Bobcats defeated earlier in the year by a score of 8-1.

    INDIANAPOLIS – The regional seeding was announced Tuesday evening by the NCAA and the Georgia College men’s tennis team (18-6) earned a place in the Southeast Region. The Bobcats have now made the NCAA Regionals for the seventh consecutive year.

    SUMTER, S.C. – The No. 4-seed Georgia College men’s tennis team (18-6) was back on the court less than 24-hours after their semifinal match, this time taking on No. 2-seed Lander University (15-3). Despite a big win in the top doubles spot, the Bobcats lost the overall match 5-2.
