PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Georgia College Men's Basketball team (12-9, 7-8 PBC) couldn't pick up a second upset of No. 18 UNC Pembroke (17-4, 12-3 PBC) this season, instead falling 84-63 on the road Saturday.

The Bobcats were led by 18 points from sophomore Jordan Thomas (Conyers, Georgia) including 6-for-9 from the free-throw line. Senior Desmond Mitchell-LaFlam (New Smyrna Beach, Florida) and junior Kohl Roberts (Atlanta, Georgia) added 11 points each, while senior Issac Thomas (Trion, Georgia) chipped in 10.

Georgia College shot 42 percent (21-50) to a whopping 53 percent (31-59) from the floor from UNCP. The Braves controlled the boards 41-25, the fewest rebounds of the season for GC Men's Basketball.

The 10 points for Isaac Thomas gives him 1,186 in his career, passing both Ronnie Sims (1984) and Tim Northcut (1991) into 10th place in school history. His seven rebounds gives the Bobcat senior 849 in his career, passing Aaron Clark (2008) for the NCAA-era record and second in program history.

The loss drops the Bobcats' overall Peach Belt Conference (PBC) record to 7-8, good for seventh in the current standings. The top eight advance to the PBC Tournament beginning March 6.

The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. playing host to Clayton State (8-13, 5-10 PBC). The Lakers most recently lost at Francis Marion University 107-98 today.
