MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men’s basketball program and head coach Terry Sellers announced the signing of Alex Reid.
Reid, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, comes to Georgia College from Calvary Day School in Savannah, Ga. He averaged 13.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. Reid shot 45% percent (72-161) from the 3 point line, 50 percent (64-128) from the field overall and 84% (73-87) from the free-throw line.
“Alex is a great fit with our program and University,” said Sellers. “I believe Alex has a lot of potential. We love players with outstanding shooting ability. If you look at our program over the years we have had some of the better shooters in the Peach Belt Conference. We are thrilled Alex has chosen to continue his collegiate career as a Bobcat.”
Calvary Day went 22-8 record this past season. They were the Region 3-A Champions and made the GHSA State Sweet 16.
