AUGUSTA, Ga. – Senior righty Bradly Cammack (Soperton) of the No. 6 Georgia College baseball team (4-0) was named the first Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Pitcher of the Week for the 2019 season Tuesday.
A preseason All-Conference pick as a relief pitcher, Cammack made the adjustment to starter and pitched five shutout innings in a 13-0 win over Paine College in the season opener. The senior allowed only three hits and one walk while striking out nine. He set down the first eight batters he saw in order, five of those via strikeout and held batters to a .176 average. His nine strikeouts is currently second in the PBC and he is fifth in the league in strikeouts per nine innings.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m., playing host to No. 2 University of Tampa (1-2). The Spartans most recently beat No. 9 North Greenville University 11-5 Sunday.
