LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Sunbelt League (SBL) announced its 2017 All-Star Game rosters, with Georgia College rising junior Brooks Luther (Dallas) appearing as a member of the pitching staff for the Western Division All-Stars.
A member of the Carrollton Clippers, Luther has been their most effective pitcher, owning a team-best 1.00 ERA with just one earned run over his eight appearances. He owns an 0-1 record with three saves, fanning 11 over nine innings.
This past season for the Bobcats, Luther appeared in four games, totaling 7 2/3 innings and posting a 3.52 ERA and .250 opponent batting average. He picked up his first collegiate victory March 21 against Erskine College.
The SBL All-Star Game was set for July 1 at Oglethorpe University, but was cancelled due to rain.
